The Ch?ur Domitia is comprised of about 60 amateur chorists, and works hard to attain its ambitious musical goals. The chorus is driven by the pleasure of singing , and by the desire to improve musically.

Dedicated to classical works both sacred and secular, from the Renaissance to modern times. The polyphonic pieces are performed with professional soloists and orchestra under the direction of conductor Bernard Viti.

Basic sight-reading is done individually at home. The music year is devoted to advanced reading and interpretation. Diligence and exactness are required to enhance the pleasure of singing and the success of performance.

Singing in a chorus is a state of mind, it is a statement of will, a victory of courage over timidity, and of surpassing oneself.

To sing in a chorus is to appreciate beauty, and to share one?s pleasure. It is serenity of spirit, thumbing one?s nose at life?s troubles, it is a rainbow on the world.

It is directed by Jean-Marie Puli, Choral Director and Organist of the protestant church in Avignon. This group meets on nine Saturdays per year to prepare a small concert, and its object is to train chorists in more difficult works.
